The Benefits of Compression

Here’s a great example of Fusion Broadband Compression in action with live data from one of our clients (not test data).

Two bonded ADSL lines from two different providers (one better than the other with one performing at 1.5Mbps downlink and the other at 6Mbps).

When bonded we would expect a throughput speed of around 8Mbps – but when compressible files are downloaded, this bond achieved an actual throughput speed of 24Mbps. That’s 3 times faster!

Not all data is compressible, but from this example you can clearly see how compression can be a huge benefit when it comes to speeding up your bonded connection.
