A global business has a number of sites in Australia, SE Asia, USA and central Europe. A Fusion SD-WAN core is deployed in each region allowing low latency high speed connectivity to their SD-WAN mesh from all of the global sites.
Leveraging Fusions SD-WAN in IBM Cloud. Four PoPs are provisioned with an HA PoP deployed in Australia.
Each Site has dual access to their SD-WAN core with some sites running active and failover links and others running dual active links leveraging our highly efficient bandwidth aggregation process.
Internet Gateways are regional and pass through regional hosted Firewalls also located within IBM Cloud.
Each site has the benefit of customisable QoS, Bandwidth aggregation/Bonding of disparate links, 100% carrier independence and technology independent application steering out specific connections.
Highly efficient bandwidth aggregation, link failover within 300ms, and bandwidth adaptation will ensure that each site maintains a low latency and low packet loss connection despite network load, ensuring applications are always performing at their best.
In the event of a PoP failure, if a HA core is not provisioned, the network will maintain full connectivity via one of the other regional PoPs, providing a highly redundant global SD-WAN built on IBM Cloud’s Superior IAAS infrastructure.
